Cholesterol-lowering medicine
Atorvamed contains Atorvastatin, a widely prescribed statin used to manage dyslipidemia and prevent cardiovascular events. It effectively lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while raising good cholesterol (HDL).
Recommended as a first-line treatment for hyperlipidemia, Atorvamed plays a critical role in reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and atherosclerosis, especially in diabetic and hypertensive patients.
Uses:
- Hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia
- Primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events

How It Works
Atorvastatin works by inhibiting HMG–CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol production in the liver. This results in lower circulating LDL and triglycerides, and an increase in HDL levels, leading to improved heart health and reduced risk of vascular complications.
