Clopidomed-A
(Clopidogrel 75 mg & Aspirin 75 mg)

Dual Antiplatelet Action

Post-MI Protection

Stroke Prevention
Clopidomed-A is a fixed-dose combination of Clopidogrel and Aspirin, two antiplatelet agents used to reduce the formation of harmful blood clots. This medication plays a vital role in managing and preventing complications in patients with heart disease, especially those recovering from heart attacks or undergoing angioplasty or stenting.
Uses:
- Prevention of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events
- Management of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Post-myocardial infarction (MI) care
- After coronary angioplasty or stent placement
- Secondary prevention of ischemic stroke or TIA
Key Benefits:
- Prevents heart attacks and strokes in high-risk patients
- Ensures better protection after angioplasty or stent placement
- Combines two mechanisms to stop platelets from clumping together
- Minimizes chances of clot formation without significant side effects when monitored properly
How It Works
Clopidogrel blocks the P2Y12 component of ADP receptors on platelets, preventing platelet activation.Aspirin inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), which reduces the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that promotes platelet aggregation. Together, they provide a synergistic effect in preventing blood clots.
